still reading about netscape 3, html 3, java, and am frustrated that i can't get sound happening on my pages yet. met with joland davoine the ceo from the faculty of arts and we spoke about the web server the faculty has, she has one page listed simply stating that it is under construction. i told her that at present i was posting my pages on the uq student server because i couldn't get them on to quts server. i send files to a home directory and they get posted immediately, any unusual files i let the webmaster know and he makes allowances for them. i am using animated gif files, talk files for talker, and want to start using the real audio ram, ra files, which requires a cooperative server to deal out the ra files. joland she would be happy to use the site as an experimental site to try new things. i told her of my plans to make the site, the pages perform themselves, to be active and attractive. she said she'd get me an account and i could set up a site on that server. rod said i could also start to design a new cinova site. i said i could make a little under construction animation to post in the mean time.
