got back to qut and internet for the first time since darwin. loaded netscape 3.04beta which comes with liveaudio and quicktime plugins included, which means that everybody that loads netscape 3 will have immediate access to streamed video and audio without having to download any helper applications or viewers and players. sounds good in theory, it will even allow the use of java applets to be embedded into the html script. started to find sites using the new netscape with quicktime plugins and they looked impressive. spoke with rod wissler about darwin, the performance, the constrictions, the things learnt.
